The weather was just perfect for our 1st annual Michigan Golf Outing. The sun shined along with a gentle breeze as we enjoyed low humidity and 80 degrees! The outing was sold out with 144 golfers enjoying a deluxe continental breakfast, a four-person scramble, lunch at the turn, and a buffet and awards banquet afterwards at the beautiful Fox Hills Golf and Banquet Center in Plymouth, Michigan.
As most of you know, the Foundation had not originally planned on holding an outing in Michigan in 2022, but how can you say no to a group of Drew’s friends on a mission to honor their friend? In just eight short weeks, beginning to end, the outing came together! And what a beautiful event it was. We’d like to thank Alex Rhodes, along with several of Drew’s friends, for turning us on to the idea of an outing this year. We’d also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire Walkley family for all of their hard work and for stepping in to help pull this all together.
We truly appreciate and wish to thank all of our sponsors, especially Frogger Golf, our title event sponsor, who put a very personal touch on the outing with a custom Frogger towel, a nod to Drew's love of frogs. Thank you to DDW Photography, our official photography sponsor, whom with the help of others captured the day and put together a photo gallery for us to enjoy.
