The inaugural Drew Poet Foundation Texas Golf Outing took place on Monday, October 20 at Fossil Creek Golf Club, and it was a day filled with purpose, community and sunlight on a beautifully maintained Fort Worth course. It was our first — and by every measure, successful — step in bringing Drew’s legacy to the Lone Star State.
A Round of Purpose and Fellowship
Golfers, sponsors and volunteers assembled under clear skies and crisp fall air for a shotgun start at Fossil Creek. Teams made their way through 18 holes of lively competition, friendly banter, and meaningful fellowship. The welcoming staff at Fossil Creek ensured the day ran smoothly, with the course in excellent shape and everyone in high spirits. After the round, participants gathered for recognition of winners and a chance to reflect on the impact of the event.

Moving Forward
The first Texas outing has set a high bar, and we already look ahead to the next one. Plans are underway to build on this momentum and make the next event even larger, more impactful and deeply connected to Drew’s vision of raising awareness, funding research and advancing treatment options for Ewing’s sarcoma.
A Final Word of Thanks
To every golfer, sponsor, volunteer, and supporter - Thank you. Your involvement in the Drew Poet Foundation Texas Golf Outing makes a difference. Through your generosity and enthusiasm, we honor Drew’s memory and support the work being done to find a cure to Ewing's sarcoma.
Thank you for being part of something special. We look forward to seeing you again at the next event!
